day 1
Welcome to Piedmont
Turin is the ideal starting point to let yourself be transported into a dimension of pure beauty; a perfect combination of architectural and monumental wonders that still to date talk to the wealth and power that the ancient capital of Savoy enjoyed in the past, grand avenues, art galleries, museums that hold incredible treasures, ancient cafes and lots of tasty treats.
Have fun taking a leisurely stroll through the elegant old town, in between stops to take some beautiful photographs, you will get to admire some of the most famous places and monuments the city has to offer.
From Piazza Castello with its porticoes and prestigious Savoy buildings including the Royal Palace and the Palazzo Madama and Casaforte degli Acaja, both declared World Heritage by UNESCO, to the charming Piazza San Carlo where the almost “twin” churches of Santa Cristina and San Carlo are located; from the beautiful Baroque building of Palazzo Carignano to the Renaissance Cathedral of Turin where the Holy Shroud is kept, passing through the famous Mole Antonelliana and the most important streets of the first Capital of the Kingdom of Italy.

day 2
The sweet temptations of Turin and its precious "city wine"
Did you know that Turin – just like Paris and Vienna – has an urban vineyard which produces a very rare and precious wine? Did you know that unlike them, it is the only city that can boast the Denomination of Controlled Origin for its “city wine”?
Today you will discover one of the most beautiful and panoramic urban vineyards in the world, expertly inserted in the enchanting scenery of the seventeenth-century Villa della Regina, another Savoyard UNESCO World Heritage home.
Captured by the charm of the Turin hill and the splendid view of the city, you will visit this beautiful villa and its splendid Italian garden, before discovering the Vigna della Regina wanted by the Savoy as an agricultural and recreational part of the house, but nowadays thanks to a meticulous and complex work of environmental recovery and replanting that has made it able to produce in a limited number of bottles (approximately 4000 per year), the excellent Freisa of Chieri D.O.C. “Vigna Villa della Regina” that you can savour during the unmissable final tasting.
Then it will be time to visit the historic Royal Cafeteria to take part in one of the rituals preferred by the Savoy royal family and the Turin aristocracy: the delicious royal snack time.
Surrounded by a rich collection of ceramics and silver from the Savoy home, an ancient library and various display cases full of desert treats, you can sip a delicious hot chocolate served with what are called “wet”, the traditional biscuits to be dipped including canestrelli, torcetti, comforts, amaretti, meringue, lady kisses and savoiardi, the oldest biscuits in Italy… it will be the apotheosis of flavour!

day 3
Martini: the iconic Turin vermouth
Day 3 will take you to Pessione, a few kilometres from Turin, to embark on a journey through more than a century of the company Martini, to discover an extraordinary success story and one of the most famous vermouths in the “Bel Paese”.
You will discover the interesting Martini Museums where you can enjoy relics from the world of oenology and the sensory analysis of spices, monumental presses, vats, stills and an exhibition that tells the history of the brand from its birth, up to the sponsorships that have made it one of the most famous Made in Italy brands in the world.
At the end you will visit the production plant and learn the refined art of mixing vermouth with other ingredients to create exceptional cocktails, including the Negroni and Americano.

day 4
Discovering Barolo D.O.C.G.
A relaxing experience far from the confusion and crowds of the city, come and discover the Langhe, a magical land characterised by gentle hills and woods, charming villages and perfectly aligned rows of vines that produce some of the best wines in the world, including Barolo D.O.C.G.
On board a convenient minivan, you will be escorted to some of the most characteristic villages of the area, such as the beautiful village of Barolo with its picturesque castle from where you can admire and photograph one of the most beautiful views in the area.
Captured by the charm and serenity of these lands, you will enter the world of Piedmont wines with a visit to two renowned wineries where an experienced sommelier will assist you in discovering the history and organoleptic characteristics of the excellent local wines, before savouring their flavour in a final tasting tour.
When you start to feel peckish, it will be time for an à la carte lunch in a typical restaurant in the Barolo area, during which you will delight your palate with traditional Piedmontese dishes, perhaps accompanied by another excellent local wine.

day 5
Between Grappa and Relaxation in Monferrato Astigiano
Contrary to what you might think, Piedmont is not only a land of great wines, but also of delicious grappa and today will be dedicated to that.
You will be in the very heart of Monferrato Astigiano, a unique and extremely fascinating land where, among distillation plants, cellars for aging and an interesting museum, you will visit one of the most important distilleries in the region, before taking part in a grappa tasting whilst savouring traditional amaretti biscuits from Mombaruzzo.
After your visit to the distillery, you will be a guest at an elegant SPA set in a beautiful period villa where you will end the day immersed in well-being and relaxation.

day 6
Alba, the capital of the Langhe
After reaching the heart of the Langhe, you will visit the ancient city of Alba, which is famous for its food and wine tradition and for the unmissable White Truffle which is celebrated with “International White Truffle Fair” every year.
Walking in total relaxation in the small but fascinating historic centre you will discover aristocratic buildings, medieval towers and beautiful churches, including the Church of the Magdalene, the Gothic Church of San Domenico and the imposing Cathedral of San Lorenzo, which hosts a precious inlaid wooden choir dating back to the sixteenth century.
Afterwards, you will take part in a delicious lunch based on local products and a delicious tasting tour of nougat and chocolate accompanied by an excellent local sweet wine.

day 7
