Restaurants

Roman cuisine offers dishes with unforgettable flavors, famous worldwide. From spaghetti matriciana or carbonara, to the typical saltimbocca, chicken with peppers, thin and crispy and
richly flavored pizza.

The same specialties can be enjoyed in the chic versions offered by fine restaurants with unique views, such as the Giuda Ballerino of the Hotel Bernini Bristol or Le Granet of the Savoy Hotel, both with 360° views of the city, or in the traditional restaurants on offer near the popular Trastevere quarter, such as the historic trattoria Gattabuia, where you can enjoy one of the best pizzas! In the San Pietro Basilica area, we can organize your lunch after the visit in historic restaurants such as Venerina, or in family-run trattoria such as The Garden of the Cat
and the Fox, a short walk from the basilica.

Jewish-Roman cuisine deserves a special mention as it offers delicacies like artichokes Jewish style, and grilled lamb chops. A dining experience at the Ghetto proves added value to your stay in Rome.

Excursions

For those who have never been to Rome, visiting the Colosseum and the Vatican museums, by way of the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, is a must. But many are the paths that we can recommend, on foot or by private bus, aiming to discover lesser-known corners of the capital: from tours of historic districts such as Coppedè and Garbatella representing small boroughs within a metropolis, to the path to discover the Jewish Ghetto and other historic places.

Inside Baroque Rome, you can search for the legacy of Caravaggio, the master of the late 16th century that best expressed the contradiction between religion and reality. A special masterpiece is The Madonna of the Pilgrims in the Church of St. Augustine.

Then there is the Rome of the private Noble Palaces which belonged to families who, over the centuries, have disputed the Papal Throne: from noble Palazzo Doria Pamphili (inside which is the Penitent Magdalene and the Rest on the Flight into Egypt by Caravaggio),
to Palazzo Colonna and Palazzo Barberini (with masterpieces by Tintoretto and Raphael).

More in this area

We are specialists in organizing excursions to places almost unknown
to the general public, but of unparalleled charm.

About 100 km from Rome, there is a medieval village located on an overhanging stone ridge, subject to continuous erosion, so as to make Civita di Bagnoregio known as the city that is dying. Along the same direction is Calcata, a small town where nature and art are an indissoluble union. The place, of medieval origin, in the 1970’s was chosen as a place of residence by a group of artists, who have kept its beauty intact. The cuisine of these places is worth a mention: from the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, gathered in the nearby woods,
to the selection of meats, produced from organically-fed cattle.

The lakes around Rome are places of great charm: the Lake of Castel Gandolfo, the summer residence of the Pope, Lake Bolsena, circumscribed by beautiful villages and in its center the unspoiled island of Martana, Lake Bracciano with its majestic castle Odescalchi.

For lovers of shopping, we offer excursions to the City’s nearby outlets, located in Castel Romano and Valmontone, where you can avail of the most prestigious Italian fashion.
