1st Day: Tour start, Rome

Group arrives in Rome and transfers to hotel. In the afternoon a guide will lead a first city tour from the Catacombs of St. Callixtus to St. Paul’s Outside the Walls, where the Apostle to the Gentiles is buried. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

2nd Day: Rome

Breakfast at the hotel and panoramic tour of Imperial Rome with its Campidoglio, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Colosseum and Arch of Constantine. We will visit the St. Peter Church in Vincoli housing the Moses sculpture by Michelangelo. Lunch. Free time. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3rd Day: Rome, Vatican

Breakfast at the hotel. The group will have a tour at the Vatican Museums housing the Sistine Chapel and will visit the Basilica of Saint Peter and the Vatican Grotto which houses the Papal tombs. Lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and Basilica of Saint Praxedes housing the medieval mosaics in the Saint Zeno Chapel. The tour ends with a pleasant walk through the splendid Popolo and Navona squares, the latter is the most spectacular Baroque square of the capital. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

4th Day: Rome

Breakfast at the hotel and Papal Audience in the morning. Lunch. In the afternoon the group will tour Saint John’s Lateran Basilica, the Holy Stairs and in closing the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, one of the seven churches of Rome that pilgrims had to visit on foot within one day, built around the palaces of queen Helena, mother of Constantine, and which houses the relics of the True Cross. Finally we will stop at Quirinale and Trevi Fountain, one of the best Baroque examples in Rome. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

5th Day: Rome, Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will visit the Basilica of Santi Quattro Coronati with its strict medieval appearance and Trinità dei Monti from where we will have a panoramic view of the city. Lunch and departure.
